End of the year...

Here's what the last three days will look like.

Friday: Critique of final projects. Bring your in-progress art to class. We will discuss as a class and give suggestions for improvement.

Monday: Work day

Tuesday: Finals due at the beginning of class. Last day breakfast party! Clean out shelves/put away all supplies. Move tables to hallway.

Painting our Picasso pillow sculptures

Art II students began painting their Picasso-inspired drawings using acrylic. 

Picasso-inspired soft sculptures

Art II students began making soft sculptures out of fabric. They looked at paintings by famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso to inspired their designs. Picasso  is known for showing multiple perspectives simultaneously in his drawings and paintings and for using lots of bold lines and bright colors. The students began by making sketches on newsprint (below), which they will later transfer to cotton fabric, paint, sew, and stuff. More photos coming later this week!
